Tim Shaner, ATP

Owner

Introduced into Long Term Care as an orthotic/prosthetic consultant, Tim became very interested in body mechanics and how accommodating one’s position can have a versed outcome in mobility, and function. He started RSS in 1996 to make a difference with quality products, knowledge and customer service to both the resident and the facility in which they reside.

Dave Namehas, ATP

General Manager/CFO

Dave began his career with RSS in 1999 and has been an industry leader with servicing the Southern California region and educating facilities with the best practices of wheelchair mobility and functional positioning. He also ensures compliance regulations with state and federal insurance agencies, specifically Medicare and Medi-Cal.

Michelle Smith

Account Processing Manager

Michelle’s extensive 29 year experience with administration and management in the medical field brings superior skills to Rehab Support Systems. She has been a part of the RSS family since 2006 and is responsible for handling the processing and billing of insurance and private accounts. Her customer service skills make her an integral part of RSS.

Debbie Sanwald

Accounts Receivable

Debbie started with Rehab Support Systems in 2013. She has 20 plus years in the Skilled Nursing Facility industry as a Business Office Manager. Debbie has extensive knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare, HMO and Private billing and her expertise in these fields brings a better understanding of how Rehab Support Systems can benefit resident in a Nursing Home.

Amber Gallardo

Physician Liaison

Amber oversees the processing of all Certificate of Medical Necessities and Prescriptions which are needed for all equipment that is provided to residents. Amber works with facilities to pre-qualify their residents for a custom wheelchair evaluation from Rehab Support Systems and scheduling evaluations and deliveries. Amber’s background includes account management and customer service. Amber executes initiatives related to increasing loyalty and preference to RSS affiliates among internal and external provider referral sources.

Natalia Hernandez

Special Projects

Natalia works with various departments at Rehab Support Systems providing the support to ensure the continuity of care of residents, completion of documentation and assists with security of office flow, and marketing. Natalia is a graduate of California Polytechnic University, Pomona with major Kinesiology with an emphasis in health promotion. Natalia has a continued interest in the medical field and for this she is a great asset to RSS.

Carlos Roca

Wheelchair Technician

Carlos comes from the manufacturing side of the business with a lengthy time in service, repair and sales of complex rehab equipment. He has many certifications that include Pride Mobility, CTM, Revolution Mobility and Sunrise Medical. Carlos is very established within the industry and now is in charge of customization of equipment, assembly, delivery and evaluations. Carlos is bilingual and a great addition to RSS.

Trevor Shaner

Wheelchair Technician

Trevor literally grew up at Rehab Support Systems, being born only months before his father started the company. Trevor plays a key role at RSS, customizing equipment, deliveries and data collection. His goal is to carry on within the family business and is anxious to become accredited.

Rehab Support Systems is BOC accredited, licensed with the state of California and works with various private and state funded insurance programs. We are also able to bill Share of Cost and Spend Down accounts with authorization from the Business Office and / or Administrator.
